How do we work?

Many consultants have their own tools and techniques. Many of them go to a client and try and implement these systems onto the client's organisations and then teach the client how to use them.

Now most clients already have a fair number of tools that they have already invested in. We at Hayde Risk Consulting will look at what the client already has in place and then integrate that with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tools and process that we have at our disposal.

We will work with our client to design an approach that utilises all of the beneficial aspects of existing ERM standards (i.e. ISO 31000 or COSO) as well our own methodology and insights. This approach would be tailored to suit the client's specific needs while aligning with their processes and culture.

It is very important to tailor the ERM methodology and standards to the client's culture, processes, and information systems. Respect for the client begins with an understanding of the culture.

Hayde Risk Consulting will identify what's in place, what's been done to date, who the players are, what will be effective, and what will not be. An approach that works well in one company may not work in another company. We will use ERM to enhance existing processes and practices.

We have three overarching objectives that guide our ERM approach and one that we advise our clients to adopt universally:

1. Make ERM a sustainable effort that permeates the entire organisational culture.

2. Integrate risk thinking i.e. risk identification, risk assessment, and risk information and communication into every decision-making process at every level of the organisation.

3. Leverage identified risks as opportunities to add value to the organisation through innovation and continuous improvement.

Every decision an organisation makes from operational to strategic at Board level has inherent risk:

  • What are the risks?
  • What are acceptable levels of risks?
  • How do we manage these risks within a desired level?
  • How do we transfer other risks?
  • What are suitable mitigations?

This approach to risk will help organisations make better decisions and ultimately to add value to the organisation. We believe that if the organisation is excellent with ERM, then it positions the organisation for excellence

By tailoring our processes to meet your context, we manage risk effectively, and can therefore help your organisation:

  • Reduce the level of uncertainty around planning and decision making
  • Meet regulatory requirements
  • Better service delivery
  • More efficient use of resources
  • Minimise waste and fraud
  • Reduce operational disruption and enhance resilience
  • Effective project management
  • Safeguard the interests of both your shareholders and customers.

We can offer you a very professional but personal service and deliver a product that will contribute to the success of your organisation.
